In film and television, Darilyn has co-starred in Chicago P.D. and The Chi, bringing a dynamic presence and strong physical storytelling to the screen as well as the stage. With a commanding performance style and athletic stage presence, Darilyn is equally drawn to film roles that blend character-driven storytelling with physicality, in the spirit of modern action heroines and classic cinematic icons.
Theatre work spans many of Chicago’s leading stages, including The Light in the Piazza and Jesus Christ Superstar at Lyric Opera of Chicago, Holiday Inn at Drury Lane Theatre, Song of Paradise at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, and numerous productions with Porchlight Music Theatre. Darilyn also appeared with StarKid Productions in VHS Christmas Carol.
The performance career has also taken Darilyn internationally as a Featured Singer with Norwegian Cruise Line, performing for audiences around the world.
Raised in Chicago’s rich musical landscape of church choirs, soul, and rhythm & blues, Darilyn developed a deep connection to music at an early age. While those roots helped shape the voice, the artistry extends far beyond any single genre. A highly versatile vocalist, Darilyn performs comfortably across rock, pop, country, classical, opera, and musical theatre, bringing vocal power and emotional authenticity to every style.
Whether performing on stage, on screen, or in concert settings, Darilyn approaches storytelling with a blend of musicality, dramatic depth, and bold stage presence.
